The College of Wooster is the nation’s premier college for mentored undergraduate research and the most internationalized campus in Ohio.
Located just 45 minutes from Cleveland, Wooster offers an excellent, comprehensive liberal arts education in a spirited residential setting, culminating in every student creating new knowledge through a rigorous, in-depth project of inquiry or creative expression. Working in partnership with a faculty mentor to conceive, organize, and complete a significant project on a topic of the student’s own choosing, every Wooster graduate develops abilities valued by employers and graduate schools alike: initiative, collaboration, self-confidence, independent judgment, creative problem solving, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Bring on learners from the College of Wooster to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience will learn concepts, techniques and tools they need to deal with various facets of data science practice, including data collection and integration, exploratory data analysis, predictive modeling, descriptive modeling, data product creation, evaluation, and effective communication.

Students can conduct a wide range of research and analysis as part of a course designed to teach them about business consulting. Companies can benefit from the work and knowledge of our students in the areas of business strategy, computer science and data, design, finance, marketing and social impact.

Data Visualization (Spring 2024)

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from the College of Wooster to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program/course will delve into the fundamentals of information visualization and refine their abilities to communicate data independently and collaboratively. They will utilize Tableau software to create static and interactive data visualizations, and dashboards using data from various sources. The course will cover effective storytelling, visualization analysis, data ethics, and reproducibility.
