Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on intermediate level learners from London Metropolitan University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work individually, and dedicate up to 70 hours of placement time over the course of 3 months, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are capable of completing Project work independently, and will require direction and moderate supervision. Engineering Secure and Effective Software Systems

This module provides a systematic approach to the analysis, design, construction, testing, deployment and maintenance of software. The module also broadens the student’s knowledge of methods, techniques and tools used in software engineering and systems development. This experience offers learners a hands-on opportunity to apply their knowledge of software engineering and systems development in a real-world context. Participants will engage in the complete software life cycle, from analysis and design to deployment and maintenance, using industry-standard methods and tools. Learners will enhance their skills in project planning, teamwork, and communication while considering legal, ethical, and security issues. By collaborating with industry professionals, learners will gain practical experience in developing software solutions that meet specific business needs.
Master of Arts Translation Placement- Jan to May 2025
This work placement offers an introduction to real-life translation situations in the setting of a Language Service Provider (LSP). It constitutes a structured period of work-based learning which has been shown to help postgraduate students develop a wide range of generic work-related skills such as problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking, team working, communication skills, personal development skills, planning, and organizational skills, etc. In addition, students are given the opportunity to develop their professional competence as translators (and by extension as proof-readers, revisers, editors, project managers, etc.) in a working environment, benefiting from mentoring and support from experienced professionals. Students are available for up to 100 hours starting early January 2024 – May 2025. Unpaid for credit experience. Honorariums and Stipends welcome. IMPORTANT: TIMELINE INFORMATION Please mind that May 15th is the latest time when a project can start. Students are available for up to 150 hours starting late January – May 2025.
