Work with us at Slate Strategies to help with strategy and planning for a new business unit, GAHP Solutions. GAHP solutions will be providing turn-key services for gas absorptions heat pump technology working alongside FortisBC. Clients will utilize our services to oversee feasibility studies, equipment sourcing, installation, and incentive applications. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn a LOT in the field of energy efficiency and facility management.

Main Goal: The intern will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for GAHP Solutions, working alongside FortisBC, to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and marketing opportunities
  • Develop strategy documents - business plan, financial plan, etc
  • Assist with vetting vendors, contractors, and engineers
  • Develop a content strategy and event plan
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities.

  • Conduct market research to identify geographical markets, potential clients and assess competition
  • Develop strategy documents - business, sales, and financial plan along with other required documents
  • Learn about different types of energy modelling processes and help us work towards being able to deliver pre-feasibility study proposals

Measurable Deliverables:

  • Strategy documents - business, sales, and financial plan along with other required documents
  • Create a template for feasibility proposals as per FortisBC’s requirements
  • SOPs for sales and ops
  • A slide deck to be presented to the project manager explaining the report including all choices made and location recommendations.
  • A report including all research, survey data, and analysis
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will provide -
