Jixx Financial provides financial, operational and growth acceleration services to early stage companies and technology startups. We would like to collaborate with students to document our overall financial and accounting processes for clients. Steps include watching a pre-recorded video going over the close procedures and transcribing the video into process documentation, using illustrations and providing relevant links. Creating an overview of all training process documentation and also gaining the opportunity to apply this knowledge on client reconciliations.

The student will also work to develop content promoting our company. Our target market is early-stage companies and technology startups looking to obtain better accounting and financial services.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

• Familiarizing themselves with our company’s services, accounting processes, and goals
• Observing close procedures via video recording and transcribing the video into process documentation to provide training materials
• Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, filing, processing paperwork and other tasks as requested.
• Recommending topics for our blog posts.
• Drafting blog posts relevant to our business.
• Deploying content according to our social media calendar.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

• Completing close procedures based on the training materials for a client

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

• Completed the documentation of all close procedures in the form of easy to follow training materials.
• Recommendation of blog post topics
• Deployment of blog post content
• Drafts for relevant blog posts

Bonus steps would include:

• Recommending ways to automate close procedures
• Recommending blog marketing strategies

Final deliverables:

• A final report of process documentation for close procedures including cash and credit card reconciliation, prepayments, capital assets, accrual and other schedules, as well as relevant illustration images to serve as training materials.
• A 30-minute presentation explaining all research and findings from the report.
• Blog posts

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

• What does our company do?
• Where will we be located? Who is our target audience?
• What are the best methods for documenting processes?
• What type of blogging topics would users be interested in?
