Details

Our organization wants to help develop your students writing skills in a real world environment. Students working with IISB will have the opportunity to meet and work with real world-changers and profoundly inspiring Indigenous leaders and experts from around the globe. Writers at IISB will have the opportunity to have their work published in North American Publications, as well as seen by hundreds of readers on social media and other virtual platforms. We have a number of important tasks for Content Writers as IISB and the challenges are balanced by the awesome opportunities.

Goal

Develop a Content Writer to assist in the many communications tasks at The International Indigenous Speakers Bureau. We want to work with students with great writing skills and give them opportunity to shine and develop those skills with challenges and support. We have social media, internal and external business communications, interviews, articles, and educational material to be created.

Students should have:

  • creative vision, tenacious drive, and the ability to see the best in everything
  • professionalism in working with all levels of employees
  • discipline to work independently and within deadlines

Outcomes for Students

Students will develop experience and a portfolio of material to support their future career. They will come away with an expanded view of the world and other cultures, specifically Indigenous peoples. This will create in them a new appreciation for the diversity of our planet and the solutions needed to solve problems in the future. They will develop many of the skills required to have success in business communications through this experience.
