Details

Synthera Health is focused on providing a virtual care and at home diagnostic solution for people with iron deficiency (ID) and iron deficiency anemia (IDA). ID and IDA are the most common nutritional deficiencies in the world, impacting over 2B people globally.

We are looking students to work with us on articulating and evaluating the current standard of care in the US. This analysis will include the typical treatment regimen, the duration of care, health outcomes, and costs to the individual and healthcare systems. This information will be used to compare against our digital health intervention, which has the goal of improving quality while reducing costs.

Deliverables

Students will need to utilize their data analysis and research skills for this project. The analysis will include both primary and secondary research skills using published research papers, publicly available data sets, and surveys to patients and physicians. We may also have access to EMR data from a community health care center.

Mentorship

The students will work directly with a small team of highly experienced clinical researchers, including the CEO who also has an MS in Public Health. We will provide guidance and support in terms of background information and knowledge.
