Details

Your student team will help us build a custom database application that will support our new mobile-optimized web application integrating:

  1. a public Wordpress blog
  2. a private, members-only "social impact network"
  3. a content management system for administrators.

While our program is designed to be an in-person, hands-on experience, we are looking to build this web application to help amplify our marketing and educational outreach efforts as well as to build a robust online member community, encourage member networking and communications, and track and celebrate individual member progress.

Project platform: mobile-optimized web application

Project front-end technology: Wordpress, React.js

Project back-end technology: Django / Python

Partner expectations:

  • You need to truly believe in and engage in helping young girls reach their highest individual potential through social impact and personal development.
  • We will proceed with a weekly "stand up" Skype meeting once a week to check on progress
  • After the class project, if students wish, we can continue to working together as we learn from users and further iterate and refine our user experience and features.
