Entrepreneurial Internship - Product and Strategic Planning

Katamundi is a social impact movement for K-6th graders looking to make a positive difference in the world through service-learning and volunteerism. We are launching our social impact network as a mobile-optimized web app in early Fall. We are offering an Entrepreneurial Internship program that will highlight product development and strategic planning efforts. Below are sample projects an Entrepreneurial Product and Strategic Planning Intern may work on: STRATEGIC PLANNING: Analyze the cost, benefits, and process of organizing into a non-profit, fiscal sponsorship, social b-corp, and c-corp. STRATEGIC PLANNING: Evaluate business model opportunities, identifying which revenue source(s) to pursue, what value to offer, how to price the value, and who pays for the value. STRATEGIC PLANNING: Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks. Recommend a plan and schedule to periodically survey and analyze KPIs. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: Research and evaluate relevant gamification features, user-generated content features, and other user retention strategies that aim to optimize user engagement. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: Analyze customer satisfaction of user experience and evaluate using a SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis framework.

Software Development for Social Impact Network Web App - Phase 2

Katamundi is a social impact movement for K-6th graders looking to make a positive difference in the world through service-learning and volunteerism. We are launching our Phase 1 social impact network as a mobile-optimized web app in mid-September. We are now offering a Software Development project that will have student teams focus on building Phase 2 features as follows: Work on Phase 2 features that may include 1+ of the following areas: Friends, Groups, Storefront, Gamification, and User-Generated Content (UGC) Creation Tools Work with the software development team on programming front-end and back-end development of social network web app. Work with the software development team on integrating third-party software services into our web app, such as Stripe and Google Analytics. Work in an agile project team environment. We are looking for individuals who have the following skills and experience: MUST HAVE: Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Python 3 MUST HAVE: Experience with Django, Class-based views and RESTful API design MUST HAVE: Experience with Database design and SQLReally NICE TO HAVE: Experience with React.js NICE TO HAVE: Feels comfortable and has experience working in a Linux environment

Digital Marketing and Communications for Social Impact Network Web App

Katamundi is a social impact movement for K-8th graders looking to make a positive difference in the world through service-learning and volunteerism. In this project, student teams may collaborate with Katamundi’s marketing and communications team on the following: COMMUNICATIONS: Brainstorm and develop content strategy across social media platforms to build community, user base, and brand awareness. COMMUNICATIONS: Execute content strategy by writing and creating engaging content for each social media channel. COMMUNICATIONS: Create content for the company blog to build public awareness of the organizational brand, values, and work. COMMUNICATIONS: Directly communicate with community members across social media channels to increase community engagement, user base, and brand awareness. COMMUNICATIONS: Work on creating earned media via public relations MARKETING: Develop and implement guerrilla marketing strategies and viral, word-of-mouth growth strategies to grow the user base and raise brand awareness. MARKETING: Develop ad campaigns on select social media platforms to 1) increase the user base of the web app and 2) build our social media communities. Candidate Requirements: We are looking for student-teams and individuals who have the following skills and experience: MUST HAVE: Strong writing skills to create on-trend, relevant, and engaging content. MUST HAVE: Strong people skills that support engagement with social media community members. NICE TO HAVE: Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive NICE TO HAVE: Strong graphic design skills and have experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other graphic design software.
