Details

The main goal for the project is to test crops using the PathoScan Technologies Inc. prototype to validate the prototype's effectiveness in detecting crop diseases during the peak agricultural season. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:

- Understanding the functionality and technology of the prototype device.

- Working with producers to identify and select a variety of crops to test the prototype on.

- Conducting tests on the selected crops to detect any diseases using the prototype device.

- Analyzing the test results and comparing them to traditional lab testing methods.

- Providing a comprehensive report on the effectiveness of the prototype in crop disease detection.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:

- A detailed understanding of the prototype device and its capabilities.

- Test results and analysis comparing the prototype's effectiveness to traditional lab testing methods.

- A comprehensive report outlining the findings and conclusions from the testing process.

Final deliverables should include:

- Test data and results.

- A report detailing the effectiveness of the prototype device in crop disease detection.

Mentorship

The student will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced laboratory technicians and bioinformatics experts to complete the project. The project will be in-person, providing a safe and supportive environment for the student.
