planning financial analysis resilience scalability research innovationWe are a Montreal-based community-building & co-living platform, both online and in-person, in collaboration with Concordia University's D3 Innovation Hub with features and a culture that facilitate and deepen in-person safe connections for families, especially single parents and newcomers feeling burned out and alone, where they can give and receive trusted and reliable family-like support, fostering a real sense of belonging, one neighbourhood at a time. We wish to facilitate healthy, resilient, sustainable living between families and take the guesswork out of community building.
Our 285 families in a closed Facebook group are now ready to transition onto our own online community and App that we will soon be soft launching.
We also have 3 pilot projects that we are looking to partner with community organizations to run a small-scale implementation to acquire research and prove viability and scalability in creating conditions for inclusive, self-managed, future-ready communities.
- Strategic planning and launch plan
- Fundraising
- A financial analysis based on a refinement of our business model
- Monetization strategies and alternative revenue models
- Develop an outreach strategy (i.e.: attracting community partners, community activators, our advisory board)
- Examine scaling models (our pilots) for feasibility, partnerships, impact
- Governance
We are a small team for the moment, yet with every team we work with, we will have regular check-ins with goal setting and sprints to keep us all motivated and moving forward. For us creating an inclusive and healthy working community where we can all show up as our full selves and feel supported is a big part of our business model. We are also seasoned supervisors, having collaborated with 14 university cohorts, and as such, we
- establish a clear project description
- set up project execution and communication guidelines to establish best practices, a collaborative culture and how to best work together as a team
- track students and provide feedback and evaluations, and satisfy our commitment as student supervisors
About the company
We are a social enterprise, both online and on the ground, in collaboration with D3 and the Refinery. We’re creating an online p2p community marketplace for medium to long term FAMILY-LIKE community building, where parents, especially single mothers... feeling burned out and alone... can access, trusted and reliable community-help they need by either podding up together or co-live together. Our goal is to facilitate the families in the matching process (AI) with other families so they can find support and belonging, and to empower families by bringing them together and facilitate healthy, resilient, sustainable living between them.
We presently have a pilot of 300 families in a closed FB group, ready to transition onto our own platform and App. We are always looking to collaborate with passionate people who are into social impact and are mission driven. We are eager to work with those that have the sensibilities and broad skillset germane to this kind of community initiative
