We want to ensure that our new employees are blown away by our onboarding practices. We would like our onboarding process to uphold our company culture, accelerate the learning curve, and increase retention.
PROJECT SCOPE
- Develop a standardized onboarding plan that achieves our goals.
- Help create Riipen project pages for the different positions (Marketing, Sales, Web Development).
- Aid in recruitment and selection activities including job analysis, posting positions, screening applicants, etc.
- Document the current state of our staff and/or volunteer recruitment process, from the time the resource need is identified to the time the position is filled.
- Create visualizations, i.e. Visio or data flow diagrams to help us identify strengths and pain points in our recruitment process.
- Assess our current process and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
- Document and map a target state process that we can use to train our team on the new process.
- Participating in interviews.
- Assist in training & development initiatives including onboarding, new hire orientation and scheduling training.
- Update employer handbooks and policies.
- Research our existing onboarding practices to determine their effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
- Research what onboarding components are most impactful for new employees.
No deliverables exist for this project.
Students will collaborate with the founder and staff on the regular basis via Slack.
