3 students required for 240 hours of work on the first phase of this project.
Project: Create Indigenous Engagement Sheets for the first 20 of our speakers. Indigenous Engagement Sheets are created for each speaker based on their unique message and the content of their indigenous perspective. This requires research and an understanding of the TRC’s Calls to Action specific to each speaker’s presentation.
Students will receive Indigenous Awareness Education, and shown examples of the product. They will have to research, format, write, and engage with each speaker to ensure that the engagement sheet captures the main ideas.
Goals: to create a full set of Indigenous Engagement Sheets for the first group of speakers.
Skills Requirement: research, formatting, interview and listening skills, as well as a willingness to be creative and learn about the TRC’s Calls to Action. A good understanding of social media and other action orientated campaigns would also be advantageous.
