Goal
Interns at The International Indigenous Speakers Bureau - IISB will be provided an opportunity to connect and engage with various Indigenous celebrities, leaders, Knowledge Keepers and experts from around the world. This engagement will give the intern a rare opportunity into the world view and perspectives of Indigenous People and their culture. It will also garner the intern an inside view into the untapped Indigenous solutions to our modern day issues and challenges.
This Internship will expose the intern to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their education and create a meaningful impact on our business and the lives of our Speakers. Interns will learn about our organization and an Indigenous model of business. They will develop technical, business, and marketing skills. They will also be exposed to a set of experts and speakers beyond any group ever assembled. The intern may also have the opportunity to create pieces for publication with various partnered media organizations. This experience will provide opportunity for Interns to develop their own professional portfolio of work to share in their ongoing career.
At the International Indigenous Speakers Bureau we are a family and want to help our Interns succeed as much as we want them to help us grow. To facilitate that, we are looking for interns who have creative vision, tenacious drive, and the ability to see the best in everything; natural wordsmiths, who thrive at producing and editing creative communications including print, social, and web; and interns with enthusiasm and passion for learning and connecting to new experiences.
For a more complete list of skills and experiences, please see the section on Outcomes and Stages of the Internship.
