social media outreach application programming interface (api) chatbot innovationWe are working with The Pamoja Institute for Community Engagement and Action to develop a responsive Whatsapp chatbot to increase vaccine confidence and uptake in equity-deserving communities.
The goal of our campaign is to support compliance with public health measures within the East African community living in Canada. The innovative element of this campaign is that it will also reach those in the community who do not have internet. This group is often neglected by traditional advertising and social media outreach. The public health measures enacted for the pandemic has further isolated those who do not have internet but do have cellular access.
We believe this project will require:
- Developing a prototype of the whatsapp chatbot using the whatsapp API through https://www.turn.io/product/features. No coding experience necessary.
The final deliverables include:
- A prototype of the whatsapp chatbot.
Supervision will be provided virtually by phone/zoom/email.
