Terms of Reference

Status: Project based - 80 hours

Reports to: Communications and Marketing Director

Salary Range: Pro Bono; Choco4Peace Digital Assets incentives (may apply)

Choco4Peace is a multi-institutional movement that builds peace in Colombia using chocolate, investments, and blockchain. We work with ex-cocaine producers and war victims who have made the transition to growing cacao, and support them with access to international markets and fair prices, finance, technology, capacity building, and good governance and policy frameworks.

We are looking for a Content Developer for blog posts to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate is passionate and motivated to produce high-quality content, tech-savvy, a team worker and has an eye for detail.

Project Scope

Choco4Peace’s Content Developer for blog posts will deliver 25 creative and engaging social media posts copy only (text formatted for both Facebook and Twitter) under a marketing strategy, where they will be divided into topics and marketing funnel sections. Each post will require some research as well as the incorporation of hashtags given by Choco4Peace. Each post should have a 2-3 sentence description of the graphic concept for our design team to develop under our brand guide.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of related content development experience (eg. Publishing, editorial, journalism, content marketing, copywriting).
  • Understanding of various available marketing channels to distribute content, their strengths and weaknesses, and their role in achieving lead engagement goals.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills, with native fluency in English. French and/or Spanish an asset.

Mentorship

Our directors all have extensive experience working with student staff, and we typically meet with each student intern at least one hour per week to provide director and feedback Students get access to a resource library and to conference opportunities on topics such as peacebuilding, international development, finance, technology, chocolate, and regenerative agriculture.
