Hardware Development for Wearable Electronic in Beauty
We are an early-stage startup focused on developing wearable technologies for beauty, currently looking to launch two products: (1) a customizable necklace and (2) press-on nails with LEDs powered through RFID. Customizable eInk necklace: We have developed a basic PCB prototype that requires further optimization. Students will receive all the documentation from the current prototype and will be asked to optimize the system so it can receive the images through NFC at a much faster rate. LED press-on nails powered with RFID: We are looking to develop active RFID bracelets that can light up the NFC-powered LEDs on our press-on nails. The bracelets would have an on/off/intermittent mode and a rechargeable battery. The range of the RFID should be sufficient to reach the fingernails. Alternative versions to the bracelets, such as rings, can be considered based on a study of the range and power of the RFID signal. * NDA's and waivers will be required from the interns undertaking this project.
Energy Analysis Modeling - Building Automation
The objective of building the 'Energy Model Analytics' is to gather critical data about a building and to understand how it is currently being ventilated and managed with respect to its HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) function. This data will help us identify potential energy-saving and GHG(Green House Gas) reduction opportunities. There are two phases of data collection, the first phase will involve the collection of building-specific details to evaluate if the building will be a potential site for energy and GHG reduction. The second phase will be to collect detailed information about the functioning of the HVAC system to calculate the energy savings. The collected data will be used to calculate estimated electrical and thermal savings. The key metric used to calculate the savings is driven by occupancy data, which is the core of our solution to control the ventilation in a building. The baseline calculation will calculate the current energy usage (electrical and thermal) based on the current operation of the HVAC system.
Flutter App Development with Bluetooth Communication to IoT Device
The main goal of the project is to write an app to control and manage a fridge over Bluetooth using the Flutter framework. The app has only two pages, one is a loading page, and the second is a device management page. The app will support pairing over Bluetooth, polling the device(s) to see if they are in range, sending a command to increase and decrease the set temperature, sending a command to poll for the current fridge temperature, and also unpairing the device by removing the MAC address.
UX/UI Prototyping for Web-based ML Design Platform
Qoherent has a set of command-line based tools for the end-to-end production of machine learning models for various radiofrequency signal classification tasks. The tools include: · A Dataset generator, for producing machine learning-ready datasets. · A recording viewer for examining individual examples and recordings of real-world data. · A dataset viewer for viewing contents of a dataset. · A model builder that produces machine learning models based on a configuration file. · A model tester that characterizes a model’s performance by performing automated tests on it. These tools, which were implemented for automation and scripting, currently only run on a cloud-based linux server, and have no user interface. Qoherent would like to build a web-based user interface for users who wish to use our tools outside of the CLI environment. The goal of this project is to prototype or wireframe a potential user interface for our software utilities.

This project is focused on developing the smartphone application for our product both on Android and iOS. At the end of the project, the front end and back end of the 15 screens should be ready for both android and iOS and should be given to us as an apk file.

The primary objective of this 80-hour project is to pave the foundational groundwork for a robotic delivery network. Emphasis is placed on the conceptualization, design, and development of a functional demo for individual working robots. The project aims to tackle core components, from formulating a robust software architecture to fine-tuning basic movement commands and safety measures like collision avoidance and battery management.

The main goal for the project is to implement and manage the infrastructure systems for Savi Finance's Personal Finance Planning SaaS Web Application and companion Mobile App. This includes setting up and maintaining the development operations (Dev Ops) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
R&D Drone Project for Alvia Systems Inc
This project aims for students to design, develop, and build a functional hardware drone, incorporating electrical work, hardware assembly, and research and development. The objective is to provide comprehensive hands-on experience in drone technology, including design, component integration, and testing. By the end of the project, students will have learned the essentials of drone development, showcasing their ability to connect their learning experience with industry skills in electronics, hardware engineering, and R&D.
