Wycliffe Regional Park Campground Map Development
To collect preconstruction campground infrastructure and facility location information and develop a campground map. The campground is in the planning stages and a map is required for pre-construction activities. A map and shape files are required that can be utilized by RDEK GIS department staff to create a final map after construction of the campground.
Waldo Cove Regional Park
Waldo Cove Regional Park is an RDEK park located adjacent south of Baynes Lake on the shoreline of Koocanusa Lake. The park is named after a town (Waldo) that used to be in the area prior to the construction of the Libby Dam in the US. A result of the dam being built is the seasonal flooding of the area (Koocanusa Lake) including the former location of Waldo; prior to the dam being built, the town of Waldo was relocated to what is now Baynes Lake. The topography, flora and fauna has drastically changed in the former Waldo townsite with the seasonal flooding and what was once a forested area is now a silty/sandy reservoir with remnants of the town (old road) that can be scene in early spring (prior to the reservoir filling for the spring/summer/fall).
