Edmonton Short Film Festival Communications Support

The Edmonton Short Film Festival is seeking a student/s to provide specialized communications support for writing blog articles on our local filmmaking sector. Our videographer will be working on producing videos on the people in the filmmaking sector in Edmonton and these articles will be used in conjunction with these videos. The articles will focus on the many different aspects of what it takes to create a film including: Script Writer, Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Set Design, Actors, Costume Designer, Hair & Make-up, Lighting, Special Effects, Sound, and Editing, This position will require the following skills: Research skills Strong writing and editing skills On-line communication skills Creating visual assets that will be used on our web site and social media platforms. Reach for the Stars

 Student-led networking event for industry professionals and students in the Dept of Communication. The event is designed to foster student success, engagement and retention. This has been a successful annual event that started last year. It led to further mentoring sessions and connections for potential field place. The members of the student organizing team also ended getting a job after graduation.
