MiTravel - Content Marketing (Product Education)

HOW MANY STUDENT INTRAPRENEURS WILL THIS PROJECT ACCOMMODATE: Total of 5 students. TIME COMMITMENT PER STUDENT: Total of 70 hours per student THE PROJECT We are looking for a content strategy to further increase customer understanding of MiTravel which will be implement during the course of project term. The main goal of the content strategy is to better capture our avid group travel planners’ attention and increases their interest in MiTravel as well as their understanding of how to use the MiTravel Planning Board effectively, through creating engaging, entertaining and educational content. Selected students can choose from the following channels including (but not limited to) blog posts, Discord, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Youtube videos and etc. For a better idea of current channels available for MiTravel, you can check out this link: https://www.liinks.co/mitravelapp To ensure the successful delivery of this project, we outline some key tasks and basic timeline which selected students will perform: Week 1 : Gain a better understanding of what MiTravel is as a company and platform, and conduct preliminary primary or secondary market research to strengthen your understanding of the group travel planner demographic, and assess best practices of how to provide educational content. Week 1 : Work collaboratively with the group of selected students to develop and present your strategy pitch + implementation plan to the Founder & CEO that will improve our brand / product presence, educate our existing and potential user base, and make non-users want to sign-up for the platform. Week 2-7 : Implement your content strategy across channel(s) you and your group of selected students have chosen. Review weekly metrics of the KPIs set to measure how your strategy is proceeding forward (what's working / not working). Week 7 : Analyze project implementation and consolidate into a final deliverable (i.e. what you worked on over the past 7 weeks, what were the results, any challenges that you faced, what would you do differently, key learnings and takeaways) which will be presented to the team during the Wrap-Up Showcase & Social Party. THE CANDIDATES You are an ambitious, entrepreneurial-driven student looking to build a career in content writing, social media or product marketing. Full of creative ideas, you are known as the go-to person when it comes to brainstorming and executing fun content ideas. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you are confident in your abilities, motivated to produce quality work, and are eager to spearhead and bring this project from concept to creation. Most importantly, you are passionate about traveling and enjoy planning for a trip! We are looking for a couple of Marketing and/or Business students with varying backgrounds and experience. Ideally, students have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile, virtual, dispersed working environment. CONTENT MARKETER Content marketing, social media and/or copywriting experience within a technology company or start-up environment Self-starter who loves to take ownership and is a creative, outside-the-box thinker Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills Passion for start-up and content marketing with good understanding of industry trends Working towards a degree in marketing, communication, technology, business or similar Portfolio to showcase past content writing, social media campaign, or case study work Previous experience with video editing and/or graphic design is an asset Previous experience creating content via Pinterest, TikTok, or YouTube is an asset Previous experience building an online community via Discord or Slack is an asset
Digital Marketing Strategy and Assets (LevelUP Part 3)
This project is designed to be a continuation of a prior project though new students are welcome to apply. We are a startup working to fine tune our digital marketing messaging and content creation process. Specifically, this project involves defining our Digital Marketing "Funnel", researching and writing Blog/email copy for prospective clients, and refining and defining our internal processes to create content to support this strategy. That is, given the lessons learned during prior phases of this project, this project is focused on systematizing our digital marketing process. Skills required include: Copywriting Marketing communications strategy Ability to use various online software tools such as MarketMuse, MailChimp, MissingLettr, Databox, Canva (we will provide access to our accounts) We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, sales and brand collateral, and more.
