At Ancestral Hands Midwives one of our main goals is to provide the Black community with equitable access to high quality health care. To achieve this we need your help to create a Black healthcare provider directory. Students should be prepared to: Familiarize themselves with the Directorist Wordpress plugin and the provided “How to” documents. Research and compile a list of providers that can be added to the directory. Add providers once approved. Add newly submitted provider information to the directory. Edit and update existing directory entries as needed. Create a simple step by step guide to updating the directory. Deliverables Based on your research, create a spreadsheet of providers to add to the directory. Use Directorist to add your list of providers to the existing directory. Update and/or edit existing listings on Directorist (a list will be provided). Create a “How to” guide with step by step instructions on how to edit and add providers to the directory.

Non-Profit Grant Writing #2

Ancestral Hands Midwives (non profit organization) is looking for assistance with grant applications to acquire funds that will support our mission: to reduce racial disparities in maternal outcomes and improve the experiences and outcomes for Black people during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods. We're looking for students to help us: Research and create a list of grant opportunities utilizing Google, and grant searching platforms such as Pocketed . Compile a master list of grant answers from existing grant applications and input the information into the provided blueprint. Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for funding based on the provided documentation (which will include the organization's mission and vision statement as well as previous grant applications). Complete 1-4 grant applications (depending on the length of the application) that can then be submitted by the organization.

Prenatal Class Creation Part A

Main goal: Develop an on-line prenatal education course for the Black community. This project includes: Orientation with the organization’s brand, culture, assets and communication style Building upon the previous group's work on this course Assisting in designing the course material Researching and creating modules on specific topics Assisting in developing a marketing campaign Students are expected to: Write or edit the text based content for 3 modules Draft social media posts to promote the course

Fundraising Merchandise Design 2023

Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking to diversify our revenue by creating our own line of Afrocentric merchandise. We believe this project will require: Develop merchandise designs (Ex. t-shirt designs, African prints) Create digital mock-ups Create electronic marketing designs and templates Assist with research and initial steps of setting up an e-commerce site The final deliverables include: File of finalized designs and merchandise mock-ups 1 Marketing campaign including post and reel templates We are excited to work with students who support our mission and want to have fun creating unique merchandise. Whether you're a fashion student, artist or you're just interested in what we do, we want to work with you.
