The goal of this project is to update the website's functionalities.Improving an existing WordPress website with updated plugins, functionalities, and solutions involves a thorough review of the website's current state, including its content, plugins, themes, and performance. This review helps identify areas that need improvement, such as outdated plugins, slow loading times, and security vulnerabilities, which are then documented and addressed through a series of updates and enhancements. The process includes researching and installing updated versions of existing plugins, identifying and installing new plugins that can enhance the website's functionality, and configuring and testing these new plugins. Additionally, the website's theme is reviewed and updated to ensure responsiveness, mobile-friendliness, and accessibility, and performance is optimized through image compression, code minification, and browser caching. Security is also enhanced through the installation of security plugins, strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and regular backups. Once all updates and enhancements are complete, the website is thoroughly tested to ensure everything is working as expected, and the changes are deployed to the production environment, with ongoing monitoring to ensure the website's continued performance and security. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Improve the existing features of the existing website - Updates plugings and Wordpress version - Improve or refresh the design and theme aspects and compatibility with plugins - Enhance the existing functionalities Important is to leave the website working for visitors about the existing pages
Open Source Management Software Review and Testing
The main goal for the project is to analyze the management process of SD Companies SRL and propose the best open source software to fit their needs. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Analyzing the management process of the company, including chat channels, quotations, invoices, and warehouse management. - Researching and proposing the best open source software to fit the company's needs. - Setting up the selected software solutions according to specific key points provided by the company. - Testing the implemented solutions and solving any issues that arise.
Website Development for Cultural Association
The main goal for the project is to create a website for a cultural association promoting opera, musics, theatre shows and more. The website should have 4 different pages and should be easily editable to add events, news, and other show data. The tasks for learners to complete to achieve the project goal include: - Designing and developing a website with 4 different pages using WordPress or similar tools. - Ensuring the website is easily editable to add events, news, and other show data. - The webserver will be selected, bought and provided by the company - Testing the website for functionality and user-friendliness.
Secure Tunneling System
The goal of this project is to create a tunneling system, similar to what is available on GitHub https://github.com/localtunnel/localtunnel, capable of giving access to remote server without domain, bypassing firewall protection because it has to use a simple internet connection, but providing high level of security on data exchanged end-to-end of the connection. The system should have the possibility to make the server available only to users with some specific credentials
Automating Tasks with AI Software
The goal of this project is to create an experimental AI software based on one of the following open source project: EleutherAI, Cerebras, Nomic AI, or other similar open source Large language models to automate specific tasks for SD Companies SRL. These tasks include: 1# Finding specific companies in specific industries and sectors, manufacturing some specific products and services 2# Finding specific people on some social media channels and activating some interaction procedures like connections and chat messages
Recognizing and Object tracking software
In the field of Augmented Reality important it is to have solution to interact with. We developed in the past solutions catching and elaborating point clouds using Lidar sensors or low cost infrared sensors. Now the goal is to develop an application that: -recognizes an object under view among a list of CAD models -tracks the position and orientation of the object in the space realtime (6DoF) But the experimental job is to get information only from multiple simple RGB cameras. Then we need to add some 3D models to animate some scenes We prefer to have the application written in Python or C++ using open libraries. The application will have few simple features to make it works: i)upload 3D models, ii)calibrate the system of cameras, iii)starting/stop buttons; iv)create a scene; v) etc...

The goal is to create a webpage able to show some financial data of a specific company, whatever registered in the EDGAR SEC database https://www.sec.gov/ The result of the project will be a working application able to generate a series of parameters according to the formulas required by SD Companies reading data by a free available web site The main goal of the project is to improve a developed experimental code to collect some financial data deposited in the public EDGAR SEC database, mainly finding data through JSON web pages. It is required to collect data with a history of at least 10 years of different companies. SD Companies's already developed a working system in python but there are many parts to improve. The main challenge is to recognize indications of budget parameters that have the same meaning but have different text labels. Moreover the data extraction should be improved, in the sense that some averages and trends should be calculated on the basis of data not always sampled in equal periods. The main parameters that the tool should elaborate are the followings: structure of the Balance Sheet in percentage averages about EBIT and EBITDA averages about Free Cash Flow averages about Net Income values percentage of inside ownership along the time Finally a visual representation of the trends and statistics elaborated by the tool to improve, is to provide, using pie charts, bar charts and similar, together with the extracted numbers in a web page. The webpage should provide a way to make automatically the full analysis of a specific ticker (extraction of all described and elaborated parameters) and show the charts about the elaborated statistics.

The project aims to analysis the performance of specific public companies in terms of growth, financial solidity and perspective. The students should analyse the balance sheet data of a list of provided public companies, from all around the world, then their income statements and the cash flow statements. On the basis of these data they'll elaborate some parameters of evaluation

The aim of this project is to boost to spread the brand knowledge of our company through a specific plan to reach the right potential leads. So the required activities include: create marketing contents like videos, brochures, posts about provided services and products plan and organize email/social media marketing campains about contacts from specific exhibitions and events enhance LinkedIn and social media presence of the brand All the activities can be decided together with the company according to the experience of the candidates
Automatic data collection and elaboration for finance
The students that apply to this project should understand the financial parameters already used in SD Companies in its stock analysis evaluations and should provide an automatic way to collect these data in form of charts and specific tables. The data will cover balance sheets, revenue statements, cash flow statements, insider trading and others. The markets under analysis can be US, Canada, Europe and China stock markets, and the sources of the data will be provided by SD Companies or discussed and agreed with the students. Their role should cover only the period of the specific project related to the course or the internship program time.
Website Optimization and Marketing Strategy
We would like an optimization about our existing website for our organization. The website already uses and should be improved on { Wordpress} We would like to work with students to develop the new solution for us.
Research funds and application
The students that apply to this project should study and find the international Research fund programs, like Horizon 2021-27 in EU, that fits the company services, skills and expectations. They have to list the requirements of the calls and how they match with the company resources and solutions, and should be able to evaluate connections for partnership. Finally they have to follow the procedure to apply and set the Gantt diagram about deliveries and the required documentation. Their role should cover only the period of the specific project related to the course or the internship program time. Each student, or some student freely grouped has to: study and understand the R&D services provided by the company in the field of tech&engineering, and list them read and understand the Research fund programs calls, and list them match all the calls with company opportunities and select the real possible ones list all the requirements, including the required international partnership check all the collected requirements, documentation and partnership with the company consultant follow all the application procedures with the company consultant and partners make a detailed Grantt diagram with all the deliveries for the company in terms of project development, and documentation with option to deal with delays
