Dr. Shafique Pirani, Clinical Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, UBC Medical School is widely known for his clubfoot assessment tool - the Pirani Clubfoot Severity Score, for his pioneering work with MRI showing how the Ponseti Method corrects the clubfoot deformity, and for developing sustainable national Ponseti clubfoot teaching and treatment programs in developing nations. He is the Project Director for both the Uganda Sustainable Clubfoot Care Project (USCCP) and Sustainable Clubfoot Care in Bangladesh (SCCB) - Government of Canada (Global Affairs Canada) supported initiatives to build capacity for sustainable Ponseti clubfoot management throughout their respective countries. WHO has recognized the success of USCCP and recommended its model as a way of helping the disabled worldwide. Awards include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeonβs Humanitarian Award and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America Humanitarian Award.

The goal is to create a seamless experience for users who wish to purchase services directly through the website, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and revenue. Key tasks include: - Conducting a website audit to identify areas for improvement. - Designing and implementing a user-friendly interface. - Integrating secure payment gateways. - Researching and determining the best payment options and their costs. - Developing a marketing strategy to promote the new features.

Clubfoot is a congenital foot deformity that occurs in 1:1000 children. Dr Ponseti developed a non-surgical method of treatment that has been shown to have superior results to surgical treatment by maintaining foot flexibility and decreasing pain and disability in adults born with clubfoot. Since 2000 the Ponseti method has become the gold standard of treatment for children with clubfeet. Ponseti Clubfoot Navigator (PCN) is an app that was developed to provide guidance for clinicians who treat children with clubfeet with the Ponseti treatment. PCN is an electronic medical record that uses embedded algorithms and artificial intelligence to recommend correct decisions according to the Ponseti International Association guidelines. We would like to develop a website for Clubfoot Navigator to provide information on the app, to provide links to literature and presentations on the app, and to provide information on the most up to date treatment.
