PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: Do you think space is the next frontier? We do! Wyvern is building a constellation of satellites that measure earth's health. We are technology company that is launching high-tech satellites to image the earth with a next generation of imaging solutions, and our first target is improving agriculture. Our cube satellites will have proprietary deployable optics, which are essentially full-size telescopes that unfold once they are orbiting in space. This means that we can launch satellites with high-resolution at 1/1000th the cost of a regular satellite. Working with the Wyvern team means that you are: - Working with a startup that is really excited about the future of space; - Passionate about earth's health and the ways that we can positively impact global agri-business; - Making a significant contribution to our team as we collectively work to achieve traction and scale; - Interested in the ways that Wyvern can connect with prospective clients and partners through an international events marketing strategy - ie. trade shows, conferences, and trade missions. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Wyvern is selling satellite imagery to customers from around the world. We need some help to further research our customers and to compile insights about them. This project will help to develop several critical parts of our business strategy. We'll ask for your assistance in: 1. Perform a discovery with the Wyvern team to understand the business and the customers we are pursuing . In advance of this meeting, Wyvern will supply you with a business plan, an overview of work done to date, and an introduction to our team. 2. We will supply you with a list of companies that we'd like you to research. We'll offer you the exact criteria that we are looking for. Your work will involve looking at publicly available information (company annual reports, shareholder presentations, press releases, and credible news reports might be some sources you find). 3. We'll work with you to look for targeted events that our clients will be at. This involves more web searches and sharing your findings in a shared document. This is a great market research project that can be completed part-time. IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RÔLES/RESPONSABILITÉS:* Please note appropriate projects can accommodate most students, regardless of field of study or experience. We may not be able to fill these roles exactly. This project is ideally suited for a team of students who: - Have an interest in marketing and business development. - Have internet research skills such that they can compile a list of reliable sources through appropriate search criteria.
