Ancestral Hands Midwives (AHM) aims to enhance patient care and safety by developing AHM Care Connect, an AI-driven triage system. The primary goal is to provide 24/7 access to midwifery support, guiding clients on whether to seek urgent care or wait to contact their provider. This system is designed to improve patient safety, reduce unnecessary ER visits, and enhance overall care satisfaction. The project will involve creating a user-friendly interface, integrating AI algorithms for accurate triage, and ensuring data privacy and security. The learners will apply their classroom knowledge in AI, healthcare systems, and user experience design to develop a functional prototype.

Students would be expected to: Review existing content and conduct a SWOT analysis Conducting social media research for the latest trends to develop infographics materials for the followers Create social media posts (in the form of a one-month content calendar planned out in detail) Design content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Convert existing videos into IG and TikTok content Provide recommendations of additional content to create The goal of the campaign is to build brand awareness, gain followers and spread awareness about maternal health disparities. Students can create content using Canva (preferred) or any software, but will need to ensure posts are the proper size for the intended social media platform and that captions adhere to character limits for the given platform. Edit and update existing directory entries as needed. Create a simple step by step guide to updating the directory. To help our customers easily access the care they need we are looking for student assistance to build our maternity services marketplace and populate it with a provided list of registered providers & services. Students would be expected to: Familiarize themselves with the Sharetribe Go platform Create profile pages for existing service providers and setup available services Launch the marketplace so that it is available for our current and prospective users Create 2 separate landing pages for customers and providers that explains the marketplace and how to sign up Time permitting, investigate available options for integrating Sharetribe marketplaces with Wordpress sites and provide an implementation plan that will allow users to navigate between our informational Wordpress site and our Marketplace If you have the right combination of skill and passion we'd love to work with you.
