As a college-level educator for over 30 years (18 years full-time and 13 years part-time), I hold a Master of Education degree in Leadership and Learning (UPEI) and a Fellowship Degree from OCAD in Illustration and Advertising with a minor in Creative Writing. I am a published author (Swampy Jo, novel; Dying Hour, novella) and illustrator (Come On Over! Northeasterm Ontario A to Z by Buse & Mount; La Laineuse by Desaulniers).
In the Language and Communication courses I currently teach at Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario, my students are a mix of domestic (Canadian) and international students, usually in first-level/first semester courses on the topics of college communications, workplace communications, creative writing, and critical thinking and reasoning.
