At Buyer Folio , we are focused on refining our co-buyer matching system and Folio Score to enhance the homebuying experience for our users. By integrating insights from overhoused and underhoused households, our goal is to create a more efficient, personalized, and data-driven matching process. This will allow us to match buyers with potential co-buyers based on housing capacity, affordability, and pre-qualification data, ensuring a better use of existing housing assets. Participants will focus on : Conducting market research to analyze the needs of overhoused and underhoused households, understanding key challenges and opportunities. Improving the Folio Score system by incorporating available space data to provide more accurate co-buyer matches. Designing intuitive user interfaces for both buyers and co-buyers, enabling them to easily track their Folio Score, explore co-buying options, and view homes with surplus capacity. Analyzing the current matching algorithm, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting enhancements to better meet market demands.

Financial Business Plan

Understanding Business Strategy:Learners will learn about the business goals, mission, and products by interacting with various employees. This understanding is crucial for creating an effective financial plan. Financial Forecasting:Learners will use tools like Excel (or other financial software) to create sales forecasts for the first year of operation. These forecasts will include both conservative and aggressive scenarios. Additionally, learners will project income based on different assumptions. Expense Budget Development:Learners will collaborate with the team to develop an expense budget. This involves estimating costs related to operations, marketing, personnel, and other business activities. Break-Even Analysis:Learners will conduct a break-even analysis using financial projections. This analysis helps determine the point at which revenue equals expenses, indicating when the business becomes profitable. Reporting and Visualization:Learners will report on projected assets and liabilities, providing a clear picture of the business’s financial health. Visual aids such as graphs and charts will be used to compare conservative and aggressive income projections.

Data Analysis Research

The main objective of this project is to provide learners with hands-on experience in data analysis research . By the end of the internship, learners are expected to: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts: Interns will work closely with experienced professionals to collect, clean, and analyze data. They’ll gain insights into real-world data science workflows. Develop data pipelines and automate tasks: Interns will learn how to build efficient data pipelines, ensuring smooth data flow from various sources. Automation skills are crucial for scalability. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA): Interns will explore datasets, visualize patterns, and identify trends. EDA helps uncover valuable insights and informs subsequent analyses. Support research initiatives: Interns will contribute to ongoing projects related to buyer behavior, pricing, and inventory management. They’ll apply statistical techniques and propose actionable recommendations. Present findings: Effective communication is key. Interns will learn to present their insights clearly to the team, bridging the gap between data and decision-making. Overall, this project aims to equip learners with practical skills and prepare them for data-driven roles.

Website UI / UX Design & Prototype

Main Objective: The main objective of this project is to design a user-friendly, visually engaging, and informative website for Buyer Folio that effectively communicates the company's mission, services, and value proposition. Problem Statement: Students will address the challenge of creating a cohesive and visually appealing web design that enhances user engagement and effectively conveys Buyer Folio’s unique offerings. This involves overcoming typical web design hurdles such as ensuring intuitive navigation, maintaining consistent branding, and creating an engaging user experience across various devices. Expected Outcome: By the end of the project, students are expected to achieve the following outcomes: A Comprehensive Design: Produce a fully fleshed-out design for the Buyer Folio website, including high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for all specified sections (Home Page, Partnership Page, Blog/Resources Page, FAQ Section). User-Centric Layout: Develop a website layout that is easy to navigate, visually appealing, and responsive across different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). Effective Communication: Ensure that the website clearly and effectively communicates Buyer Folio’s mission, services, and value propositions through well-structured content and professional visual elements. Brand Consistency: Implement design elements that align with Buyer Folio’s brand guidelines, ensuring a consistent look and feel across the entire website.
