Strategic Management Consultancy

As our capstone course, you will have access to graduating business students in their last year of studies. Bishop's University has been recognized at the top university in Canada for preparing students for professional careers. As part of this preparation, we emphasize experiential learning projects. Beginning this September, student-consultants will conduct an in-depth strategic analysis of your organization's external and internal environments, identify your company's strategic options and formulate a series of recommendations to maximize your organization's long-term performance and profits in the face of uncertainty and competition. Coming from all functions of business (accounting, finance, management, and marketing - you will have access to a wide breadth of talent.
Occupational Health & Safety - Experiential Learning Project
BHR 328
This Canadian-based class covers best practices and legal requirements surrounding occupational health, safety, and wellness in the workplace. Topics include safety training, workplace wellness, motivation and safety management systems, disability management and return to work, hazards (psychosocial, physical, biological, chemical), violence and harassment, emergency planning, and incident investigation.
Advanced Management Control Project
BAC 322
Does your organization have a management accounting challenge you want to tackle? In this project, student-consultants, working in teams of 4, will apply their accounting skills in managerial decision-making towards a challenge in the areas of decision models, performance evaluation and budget preparation and financial analysis to a challenge of your choosing. Our students will work with your organization to address specific issues and provide actionable recommendations.
