Competitive Analysis - Personalized Nutrition
Number of individual students required: 1 It’s important for us to conduct a scan of the emerging personalized nutrition marketplace for better positioning our technology. The intent of the project is to provide a strategic overview of the market, understand market drivers and customer expectations. This project will include: An identification and categorize different types of companies in the space An identification of potential future competitors (eg. a large company in a similar industry who may enter the space) The creation of a matrix identifying features shared across the companies and those that are different. Summarize recent transactions in the space A summary of 2-4 paragraphs describing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. This could be done in the form of a SWOT analysis. We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, current market research conducted to date, business plans and will provide a first list of identified competitors. Objective We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of the drivers in this space to determine best fit and readiness for our technology.
Level Up - Health Care Data Analytics and Logistics Database Design
Positions Available: 1 Nimble Science has developed a first in kind medical device that can sample your true, inner microbiome. The possible impacts on human and animal health are endless. The efficient collection, management and analysis of data obtained from the capsule will be an integral part of its role in advancing health. This project challenges a student to lead the design and implementation of a database capable of managing operational logistics (order fulfillment, device return and processing, data analytics and reporting). The database will consider privacy, data ownership and access and will be designed to support machine learning. Project Steps: 1. Work with the Nimble team to learn more about our device and the intended data sets. 2. Research, compare and select the database platform. 3. Collect and develop a first set of requirements, identify entities, attributes and plan relationships. 4. Create a visual plan for the database using your preferred design tool. 5. Begin to architect the functionality and plan for implementation. 6. Still time? Progress to a working model.
Level Up - Health App Design & Model
Positions Available: 1 Nimble Science has developed a first in kind medical device that can sample your true, inner microbiome. The possible impacts on human and animal health are endless - but usability is key. This project challenges a student to conceptualize an app based solution that will guide the patient in home use of a medical device, while supporting the seamless collection of valuable lifestyle data at the same time. Project Steps: 1. Work with the Nimble team to learn more about our device and vision for at home use 2. Research our niche of personalized nutrition and health apps to plan a possible approach, and possible collaborators. 3. Collect and develop a first set of requirements. 4. Create a wireframe for the app. 5. Begin to architect the functionality and plan for implementation. 6. Still time? Progress to a working model.
