We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our company. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Write blog articles and other content pieces on assigned topics Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, included but not limited to video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. Virtual Internship Opportunity: Marketing
We are looking for either a single student or a group of students to complete this project. The student(s) will complete a marketing project in one or more of the following areas: Branding - Evaluate our organization's current brand and core value proposition; identify opportunities and threats facing our brand; assess where and how to improve our brand's presence and differentiate from our competitors. Marketing Communications - Recommend changes to advertising and PR materials; create an integrated marketing campaign; create a rebranding campaign. Market Research - Investigate our competitive landscape; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging for (new product or service). Public Relations - Develop and implement a PR strategy; evaluate current collateral, press releases, user testimonials and customer stories. Prospecting Strategy - Evaluate our current customer base and make recommendations for further market penetration; assess our current outreach process and develop and implement targeted prospecting; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, and create new outreach content. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - Evaluate our current SEO strategy; provide content suggestions and recommendations to increase search visibility; increase our inbound traffic and optimize the customer journey; increase inbound leads. Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s); develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts. Depending on the objective selected, our goal at the end of this experience will correspond to the following: Branding and Marketing Communications - For the student(s) to help us improve our brand's presence and capture greater market share. Market Research - For the student(s) to help us gain a better understanding of our target market and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer. Public Relations - For the student(s) to help us effectively communicate our brand's story and mission to a broad audience. Prospecting Strategy - For the student(s) to help us implement better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boost our sales team's performance. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - For the student(s) to help us generate more traffic and revenue through search engines. Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the student(s) to help us improve our online presence, reach more customers, and effectively promote our brand through compelling content. Assist with outbound email marketing campaigns as needed; measure and report on performance of these campaigns using tools such as mail chimp. Level Up: Enlightened Economy Summit Marketing and Communications Intern
Positions Available: 1 Our largest annual event is the Enlightened Economy Summit (EES). It is a collaboration between MacEwan University and Net Impact Edmonton. It examines inspiration and action through the lenses of business, community, government and individuals who are shaping, disrupting, and re-imagining the world. Our team is looking for a marketing and communications enthusiast who can help increase awareness about SII and its activities, with a main focus on the Enlightened Economy Summit. In addition to a proven ability to create content on social media this individual should be self directed while enjoying working with a small team, and have an interest in sustainability and other issues facing society. The primary project requirements include: 1. Content Creation and Execution: Develop and plan a social media content calendar based on set marketing strategy Create social media content/posts Timely deployment of social media content to all platforms to drive maximum traffic to our website, and attendance at our event 2. Create Content for other Communications Channels: Draft direct email templates to share with key stakeholders Draft newsletter content Draft promotional package to share with key stakeholders Update website as needed Create visuals to be used during virtual events (ex. presentation templates, waiting room background) Skills needed: Comfortable interviewing people for content collection Creative and able to run with ideas quickly, turning them into social media content or blog posts Experience creating high quality content, including videos, for a variety of social media platforms Experience working with tools and platforms such as: Gmail, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, MailChimp, Canva and Squarespace What will we provide: Leadership from professionals that are sustainability leaders Guidance and support from MacEwan鈥檚 Campus Services marketing team The opportunity to learn about building your professional network This is a great project for students to prove their marketing and communications expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.
Establish Social Media Presence for Health Coaching Business
We are looking for students who want to help set the tone for and craft a social media presence for the company. We have a marketing and brand strategist working on a plan. Students will be guided by the marketing and brand strategy to implement and repurpose existing content. The role entails actively managing various social media accounts, maintaining our brand voice, and all things needed to create and execute on a next-level social media strategy. We would love students to help generate ideas on how we can attract more clients and stand out in the market. Key responsibilities will be to: Make recommendations in keeping with our branding strategy Repurpose current content and create content according to the company brand Engage with the audience, message, and respond to messages Track and analyze progress This is a great project for students to prove their branding and marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.
