PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: The project's main goal is branding of the app we are working on that is focused on outdoor activities that will help make it easier to organize outdoor activities, specially hiking and camping. The project has three tasks Icon/Banner UX : You will need to come up with an App Icon and App Banner that will work across different platforms like iOS, Android and Web. You will be using Canva to design the icon but you can use any Design tool you want. Canva is a easy to use multipurpose design tool that will definitely help you with your career. App Name : Thepurpose of this task is to come up with an App Name and its tag line. You will have to come up with many names and then do a little bit of market research to see which name resonates the best. App Description : You will need to come up with an app description that will be specific to Apple AppStore, Google PlayStore and Web. You will need to come up with description that can resonate with consumers specific to each platform. About Marsgoat: Marsgoat is dedicated to create consumer apps with focus on outdoor activities. Our main principles are : Productivity Transparency Security and being minimal When working with or at Marsgoat, we guarantee you there is zero tolerance with any sort of bullying or discrimination. Antarctic Institute of Canada - Graphic Design

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Antarctic Institute of Canada has trained and mentored 100s of students over the last 20 years. Most of our students choose to work with us on an ongoing basis, from their first year of undergraduate studies to Ph.D. and beyond. Your main mentors are well experienced in the difficulties of navigating education and transitions. The founder, Dr. Austin Mardon, is a Member of the Order of Canada, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, in addition to dozens of other professional and scientific organizations. Dr. Catherine Mardon is a retired attorney from the United States, a recognized social justice advocate, and a bioethics expert. Both are approachable and hands-on, and former students continue to include them in their successes well after the end of their internships. We're looking for a student to help us with ongoing graphic design tasks. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Graphic designs for book-length manuscripts as part of a team. Coming up with color themes and media kits that match our marketing and communications guidelines.. Creating designs for our marketing material, website, and applications (desktop, web, mobile). Creating designs for print (e.g. T-Shirts, mugs) Creating digital art such as isometric drawings, infographics, or hand-drawn art. Formatting manuscripts, and designing book covers. IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RÔLES/RESPONSABILITÉS:* Please note appropriate projects can accommodate most students, regardless of the field of study or experience. We may not be able to fill these roles exactly. Channel a thirst for creativity into the project of a lifetime. Get a jump on your peers by working as part of a collaborative team to use your creative talent to design book covers and to learn to format manuscripts digitally for publication. Learn to edit your own work and the work of other members of your team. There are also opportunities to foster leadership abilities, conflict resolution, and remote work skills. FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES/LIVRABLES DU PROJET: At the end of the project, you will be a published designer, showing your creative abilities, and your ability to see a large and important project through to completion.
