Music Ensemble Leadership and Library Management

The goal of the project is for the student to develop an understanding of the role of a music ensemble director and display competence in the tasks expected of this role. The student will be asked to act as an ensemble coach, sectional leader and administrative assistant and be required to be actively engaged in studying these areas of leadership in order to achieve the identified goals and to determine how they apply to the individual. Assignments and deliverables for the student coincide with the broad tasks outlined in the following section and final outcomes and deliverables are purposefully left flexible to reflect the dynamic nature of being a music director.
