Level UP Internship Overview # of Teams: 1 Interns Per Team: 2 (interns can be from different schools) Time Commitment for Each Intern: half-time (20 hours/week) Total Project Length: 4 weeks Project Overview We are building a brand-new approach to consumer marketing. Our service is currently in development and therefore in "stealth mode". We have developed a consumer app but have not yet built a consumer website. Objective We need to design and build a website for our new service. The website will not replicate the functionality of the consumer app. It will serve as an introduction to the service for consumers, marketers and investors. It is primarily a marketing piece. There will be no commerce functionality. Project Details This project will include: Spending time with our team to understand at a high level the service we are working to build and what we want the website to present; Spending time with the consumer app to understand the high-level design; Wireframing a website to get buy-in from the team; Proposing a platform for the site (e.g., existing WordPress template, newly-created WordPress template, etc.); Preparing the platform (e.g., customizing the existing template, creating the new template, etc.); Creating the necessary content for the website; Building the website; and Launching the website on our dev server. We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, brand collateral and more. This project requires strong skills in website design, website construction, graphic design, writing, communication and teamwork.

Digital Content Creation - Worksheet Creator

Number of individual students required: 10 students We would like students to help us with creating a digital solution for creating worksheets for a math course. The students will work closely with the CEO of EduShare in order to create a document outlining the requirements for the worksheet creator as well as the wireframes that can then be given to developers to create. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Meet regularly with the CEO of the company Research the current worksheet creators that are on the market Identify the functionality of the worksheet creator Determine the scope for the Minimal Viable Product for a worksheet creator The work that the students do will lay the foundation for a digital tool that can be used by teachers and students and help them with Mathematics. Students with UI/UX and software development would be ideal.

Using Anime For Mental Health Awareness: Website Development (Virtual)

Number of individual students required: 3 students We would like a new website for our organization. We aren’t sure which platform we would like for it to be built on, but we have an idea of what we would like it to do. We would like to work with students to develop a new website for us. Students should be prepared to: Conduct a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Create a design proposal including mock-ups, budget, and timeline. Build a fully-functioning website. Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.

Development of Whatsapp Chatbot on COVID to support East Africans in Toronto

We are working with The Pamoja Institute for Community Engagement and Action to develop a responsive Whatsapp chatbot to increase vaccine confidence and uptake in equity-deserving communities. The goal of our campaign is to support compliance with public health measures within the East African community living in Canada. The innovative element of this campaign is that it will also reach those in the community who do not have internet. This group is often neglected by traditional advertising and social media outreach. The public health measures enacted for the pandemic has further isolated those who do not have internet but do have cellular access. We believe this project will require: Developing a prototype of the whatsapp chatbot using the whatsapp API through https://www.turn.io/product/features . No coding experience necessary. The final deliverables include: A prototype of the whatsapp chatbot.
