Bob Jones University (BJU) is a Christian liberal arts university in Greenville, South Carolina. The university, with approximately 3,000 students, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. The engineering program is ABET accredited.
BJU is a leader in experiential learning, and we have partnered with Riipen to provide a broader variety of work-based learning opportunities to our students.

Senior Engineering Design Project (Spring 25)
Eng 405
Bob Jones University senior engineering students do a solo capstone design project where they design a product or system, from preliminary design to pre-production prototype. These projects are in five areas: aerospace, civil, computer, electrical, and mechanical.

This remote work-based learning experience is designed to connect students from various disciplines with industry projects through the Riipen marketplace. Learners are equipped with foundational knowledge in their respective fields and are eager to apply their skills in real-world scenarios. The program aims to enhance students' problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and professional communication skills by engaging them in projects that align with their academic background and career interests. With support from the EXP office, students are matched with suitable projects, ensuring a mutually beneficial experience for both learners and industry partners.
Fashion Industry Insights: From Fiber to Retail

This experience invites industry professionals to collaborate with Apparel Design students who are exploring the comprehensive business landscape of fashion. Learners are equipped with various research methods, garment design processes, and professional presentation skills, enabling them to tackle projects that span from fiber production to retail strategies. By engaging with real-world projects, students can apply their classroom knowledge to develop innovative solutions and gain practical insights into the fashion industry.
Advanced Design Studio
IAD 410
This is a capstone experience for Interior Architecture and Design students. Senior interior design students apply design thinking and professional design process to the interior design of a commercial space (2,000-5,000 sq.ft.) such as an office, retail, or hospitality environment.
