This applied consulting course is intended to serve students with the opportunity to to find community organizations who would want our students to put their academic learning to work in a hands-on work experience. Building from the successful Applied & Independent Study model, the Dhillon School is Business is offering this Applied Consulting course for students to work in small teams on high-impact learning applied learning opportunities that allow them to integrate their learnings from the course into a practical environment. Students will work with companies to solve problems and provide meaningful deliverables (please see examples further down). Organizations will be responsible for informing, guiding, and mentoring students.

This course page will exist as an avenue for students to find hands on work experience and put theory into practice. Building from the successful Applied & Independent Study model, the U of L will create several small, high-impact learning Applied or Independent Study cohorts that integrate at least one form of WIL (work integrated learning): applied research/industry projects, entrepreneurial WIL, field placements, or service-learning WIL. In groups students will work with companies to solve problems and provide meaningful deliverables. Organizations will be responsible for informing, guiding, and mentoring students.
