Positions available: 10 students, individually or in teams Careerin is organizing online career fairs to connect tech talents open for new jobs and tech companies that are hiring. We noticed that lots of companies laid off staff because of COVID19 but there are still companies that are hiring. Careerin is a new startup that's using videos to help candidates learn more about tech companies, their mission, culture, and people in the teams so they can find the companies that they aligned with. During the online career fair, companies will have founders or hiring managers that talk about what their companies are about in videos and they will have online meeting sessions with candidates that are interested in joining them. Candidates can create a self-intro video on our platform that can be accessed by the companies that they are interested in, so they can tell their stories in person in the video instead of being another resume in the pile. Students will help us in organizing and running our monthly Careerin Tech online event. Roles include: Event sessions host - Identify and recruit speakers to share career insights or other topics in their roles (HR/Marketing/Sales/Software Engineering etc), host these online sessions by introducing their speakers if it's a webinar or interviewer if it's a fireside chat interview Job fair organizer - Reach out to tech companies that are hiring Marketing + PR - Event promotion in our social media channels, other tech communities, and tech medias Sponsorship - Reach out to potential sponsors to secure sponsorship for our events (professional firms, tech companies, etc)

Internship Positions available: 20 students Career Change, Selection and Job Search Course Research and Development to develop full courses and or modules - mostly nontechnical elements. CareerNiche Inc. is a growing HR boutique transition firm that assists with Employee training, and coaching (both one on one and group coaching on zoom and with career masterminds). Number of positions available: 1 team of 5 persons The UnschoolingSchool.com team is launching a project to synthesize the many sources of proof and evidence that Self-Directed Education (SDE) works and is an optimal way to educate children. We have partnered with Riipen.com to engage university and college students in short projects to help with the work of gathering and synthesizing the evidence. For Conventional System High School graduates and drops-out— to gather evidence that they would have benefited from a K-12 education that involved much more student agency. 2. Positions available: 2 To become a proactive sales team, we need assistance developing an outreach process. We would like to equip our sales team with a plan that guides them in researching new prospects, identifying key contacts, and reaching out with compelling messages. We would like you to create a simple step-by-step strategy for prospecting in our target market. The project may include, but is not limited to: Identifying new potential accounts that align with our current customer base. Compiling relevant market information. Building a customizable outreach script. Creating a simple tracking framework, including metrics, for measuring outreach success. The final project deliverable is a report including research, analysis, and recommendations. It should assist our sales team in successfully prospecting within our target market with actionable recommendations that will increase sales conversions.
Article Writing
Positions available: up to 65 We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. During the spring and summer, the Antarctic Institute of Canada runs a program called Sharpen the Quill. The goal of the project is to develop student's writing and publication skills. During March and April, students will be expected to write 4 articles for us. These can be blogs, newspaper, or peer-reviewed articles. We have places to publish the articles for free on peer-reviewed publications. Students will be expected to: Research topics Write articles for a specific journal Peer-review articles for other students Submit their articles for approval and revisions before publication

For this internship students will be able to express their writing skills with a given subject matter creating an ebook. Students will work in a team of 4, allowing for multiple perspectives and writing styles. All together, the four students will create 4 different ebooks, ranging from 100 - 150 pages each ebook, with each student contributing a roughly even amount for each ebook. Project Scope: Research a given topic (references used must be documented) Create an outline for chapters of the ebook together Divide the sections of the ebook together Write compelling and engaging content that grabs the readers attention Coordinate and collaborate with other students to ensure it flows seamlessly and is coherent throughout Each book should take students 18 hours each, with 2 hours allotted to finalizing each ebook together All four ebooks will total the 80 hours of students time with the internship Give it your best shot and have fun! ebooks will then be published with authors of the internship (good future reference) ebooks will be transformed into audiobooks in the following project.

Interdisciplinary Authors
This project will begin November 7 following a kick-off meeting and orientation for all student-hires. The end-date for the project and deliverable submission deadline is December 5 at 11:59 PM MST. The Antarctic Institute of Canada (AIC) is a non-profit organization that conducts research activities, academic mentorship programs, and equity building through a variety of government-funded work initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students. The AIC is seeking 100 (one hundred) post-secondary students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program to author a variety of texts for publication. Topics and guidelines will be determined following the kick-off meeting. Participants will produce a finalised deliverable of a minimum 3000-word article. Applicants must be comfortable writing according to a variety of conventions and formats and within diverse topic-areas.
