Ice Cream Supply Chain - Logistics and Warehousing

Positions available: 2 Grafley, an innovative, 'no sugar added' ice cream brand is in the stages of finalizing manufacturing in Ontario. We are looking for a comparative study report analyzing the frozen food supply chain that considers cost, location, size, and overall best fit for our startup. The report will help us determine: 1 - which warehouse to use for dry ingredient storage, 2 - which warehouse to use for finished product storage, 3 - which transportation service to use for delivery of ingredients to warehouse, and 4 - which transportation service for delivery to customer (retailer or end-consumer) The deliverable for the project is a report that: - is structured in the above-mentioned criteria, - lists storage warehouses and transport companies that operate/service Ontario - lists the costs and key metrics required for making a decision - summarizes the findings and provides recommendations for short term and long term partnerships with such space/service providers.

Operations Management

Company Grafley is a startup that manufactures 'no sugar added' ice cream. We are starting to manufacture our ice cream and working on setting up our operations, which includes supplier management, transport logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, e-commerce fulfilment. Challenge As a startup, we do not have a cohesive strategy in place at the moment to manage our operations. We have created some strategic partnerships with packaging companies, ingredient suppliers, and manufacturers. Specifically, we do not have a logistics + warehousing provider. We are looking for qualified candidates to help us determine the logistics and warehousing solution and to bring all elements of the operations together. Opportunity This project requires the qualified candidate to: - map out the operations flow (logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, supplier management) - identify gaps - provide recommendations to fill gaps - perform costing for operations - investigate Zoho One CRM and the inventory module to see how best to use the software for operations tasks Successful completion of the project requires: - report detailing operations flow for the company - set up of Zoho One for operations management Successful candidate must: - have experience and/or education in Supply Chain and Logistics and/or Operations Management - be self-guided and self-motivated - have good communication skills for cold calling and talking to a variety of stakeholders (warehouses, transport, manufacturing, suppliers) - have knowledge of ERP/CRM software and be a quick learner and implementor.

Digital Content Creation

Graffiti Alley Ice Cream is a trademark brand slated for launch by Grafley. Graffiti Alley Ice Cream brand is rebellious, colourful, and whimsical. We want to evoke this brand spirit in our social media and marketing materials. We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools.
