Sustainable livelihoods for Women

We are excited to propose a project for your students to examine the feasibility of creating a social enterprise for revenue generation with a focus on sustainable livelihoods for women in Iran. Our goal is to create a platform where women in Iran can sell their goods and participate in wealth creation, while also ensuring that their livelihoods are sustainable through an ethical supply chain. To complete this project, your students will need to conduct a critical analysis of a potential startup. This will involve researching the market, identifying potential customers and competitors, and analyzing the financial and social impact of the enterprise. In addition, they will need to consider the sustainability of the supply chain and how it can support the long-term livelihoods of the women involved. This project aligns with UN SDG 5, which aims to "achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls."

Development of Whatsapp Chatbot on COVID to support East Africans in Toronto

We are working with The Pamoja Institute for Community Engagement and Action to develop a responsive Whatsapp chatbot to increase vaccine confidence and uptake in equity-deserving communities. The goal of our campaign is to support compliance with public health measures within the East African community living in Canada. The innovative element of this campaign is that it will also reach those in the community who do not have internet. This group is often neglected by traditional advertising and social media outreach. The public health measures enacted for the pandemic has further isolated those who do not have internet but do have cellular access. We believe this project will require: Developing a prototype of the whatsapp chatbot using the whatsapp API through https://www.turn.io/product/features . No coding experience necessary. The final deliverables include: A prototype of the whatsapp chatbot.
