Students work on analysis and visualization of data to find patterns, relationships, trends etc. and insights that help companies make data-informed decisions. Students can conduct usability tests to assess and improve the UX (user experience) of a digital product. Students can create mockups, wireframes and prototypes for mobile apps and web sites to validate structure, flow and user behavior to improve the UX (user experience).

Managing in an International Environment

In this course, students integrate and apply a range of multifunctional business concepts from marketing, finance, and general management fields to evaluate strategic decisions undertaken by organizations operating in international settings. Students analyze the current situation of international firms and develop potential strategic alternatives for the organization. Working in small teams, 4th year business students will study your business and the best options for entering a new international market. They will provide an analysis of top options and provide recommendations with an implementation plan.

Business Consulting Project

Is your organization seeking some extra support to solve an ongoing business-related challenge? If so, we have 3rd and 4th year business students that are seeking opportunities to help you in the form of a for-credit Business Consulting Project. This course is an undergraduate Organizational Management course on Business Consulting and is composed of students from all streams of business (i.e., human resources, marketing, finance, etc.) looking to put those business skills to good use! Please note: We will be accepting twice as many project applications as there are student teams. Students will choose which projects they want to work with that fill their own specific skill sets during the first week of classes in January. Community Partner organizations will be informed of the students' choice by the end of the second week of January.

You get a team of 4-5 senior level Social Work students to help build capacity, fill a need within your organization, create a fundraising event (likely virtual) or just fill in some gaps during this trying time! These students would love to get some experience working with a community partner and building their community social work skills.

Service Marketing

Students examine the marketing of services in for-profit and non-profit businesses. Students apply service marketing theory to a variety of service-based businesses (e.g. professional services, hospitals, banks, etc.) Topics include customer relationship management, customer satisfaction, service quality, employees’ and customers’ role in service delivery, and the services marketing mix factors. Working in teams of 5-6 students, our 4th year Marketing students will apply their knowledge of service marketing to a real-life organization with a particular problem/challenge related to the marketing of their services.
